Carbon River Troad

The Carbon River Road is quite intact for the first mile, but after that it is a troad, a road that is becoming a trail.  We had a lovely walk there yesterday in the cold sunshine

The ancient rainforest never fails to impress

Although we were on foot, this government car was parked more than a mile inside the gate.

Clearly this recent bridge was built with motorized vehicles in mind.

Love that sunshine filtering through the trees

The troad begins to open up a couple of miles in

Some snow dusting the trees not too far above the river

Pretty impressive washout here

Snow on the picnic table at the campground

The weirdly transplanted cabin with snow on the roof
