The North Fork of the Skokomish

This turned out to be a great winter hike, from Staircase to Big Log Camp and back, at least eleven miles.

The first big blowdown

The "footbridge" over an unnamed stream.

The slightly scary footbridge over Madeline Creek

Slippery footbridge, no railing, over Donahue Creek

A campsite at Big Log Camp

The North Fork of the Skokomish River from Big Log Camp
A nasty big blowdown

Very welcome sunlight

Maybe we'll stay here on our next trip

Fog rising off Lake Cushman as we are heading home.
