Amazingly, we found a sweet little hike that we hadn't done before. Indeed this may be the only hike in the south Cascades, Mt. Rainier, and Mt Adams area we have not done many times before.
| Tall trees, blue skies, mountain air, what could be better? |
| "The Mountain" begins to show herself in the first half mile. |
| Fading, but still pretty, asters |
| One of two happy hikers. |
| After gaining 1200', the view looking east toward the Goat Rock Wilderness... |
| ...the view to the northeast... | |
| ...and to the south at Mt. Adams. |
| The other happy hiker |
| While eating blueberries along the trail, we spot the lookout above. |
| ... almost there... |
| ...almost... |
| There! At the top, a view from our lunch spot. |
| A selfie. |
| We explored around awhile at the top (not a selfie) |
| Heading back out. A short but delightful hike. |
