We enjoyed another great hike in the North Cascades, taking the PCT north from Rainy Pass to Cutthroat Pass
| There were quite a few rushing streams to cross like this one |
| Pretty Penstemons |
| Another stream to cross |
| Then, it's out of the woods and in to the high country |
| And higher |
| Cutthroat Pass, 6800' |
| One of the views from the pass |
| Going above the pass |
| A view of the Cutthroat Trail coming up to meet the PCT |
| High, high, unending views |
| No lack of flowers |
| The tundra above the treeline |
| Our high turn around point |
| Coming back down in to the larches |
| The trail itself was beautiful |
| Back out across Porcupine Creek |
A fabulous hike in the high country
Stats:
Round trip=12 miles, including going north of the pass
Elevation gain=2100'
Hike/drive ratio=6/1=6 (from Mazama)
Date Hiked=July 27, 2016
